The Cancer Society of the Bahamas is a registered, non-profit organization,established in 1976.
The Abaco Branch was established in 1990. The Abaco Cancer Society raises funds to assist cancer patients by paying for airline tickets to their treatment
destinations, donating food for fund raising cook-outs and paying for drugs and doctor's visits. Our Thrift Shop (behind Abaco Groceries near the Marsh Harbour Airport roundabout)
is open every Saturday from 10.00 am to 1.00 p.m.
Donations for the shop can be dropped off, at the shop, between
9 am and 1:00 pm every Saturday, or at Abaco Groceries during the week.

KAYAK CHALLENGE
Join us in support of the Abaco cancer Society and the Friends of the Environment for Abaco's First Annual Kayak Challenge!
October 15th.
All crafts you can paddle are welcome, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards - just no engines.

In 2010, The Abaco Cancer Society gave 66 local cancer patients financial assistance by paying for their airfares while travelling for treatment, paying for medication and supporting their fundrasising efforts, and well as subsidizing mammograms. The support was at a cost of $49,000.
